Locations

Springfield House

110 New Lane, Eccles

Our Springfield house location is situated in a beautiful Victorian building. Formerly a doctor’s surgery, the space has been developed to the highest standards into a warm, homely environment.

Our robust settling-in procedure includes settling-in visits and introductory sessions suited to the individual needs of each family. These are provided free of charge over a one- or two-week period dependent on your child’s age, stage of development and unique needs. Together, we’ll complete an “all about me” document so we can follow your home routine as closely as possible to make the transition easy for your child.

Each child is paired with a key person before they being to attend the nursery. This key person builds a strong personal connection with the child and their family, welcoming them each day, looking after them during the settling-in period, and acting as a familiar contact point throughout their time at the nursery.

Nursery Meals

Meal times should be a relaxed, non-threatening, social experience. Eating is a time when a great deal of learning takes place, and we encourage children to sit at the table with their friends and carers using polite table manners, eating healthy food, and making meal times a pleasurable, social experience.

We provide the children with a healthy, balanced diet of breakfast, lunch and high-tea, prepared on-site by our qualified chef. We work very closely with a registered nutritionist, parents and the children themselves to provide meals that the children enjoy and that are nutritious. Our menus are provided on a four-weekly rolling basis and are regularly reviewed. We also cater for children’s individual food requirements, taking into account any food allergies and religious beliefs.

Shift Patterns

The nursery will do its best to accommodate shift patterns subject to availability of places. However, in order to manage this irregular booking pattern, sessions required must be confirmed in writing with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice.

Discounts

Where two or more children from one family attend the nursery on a part-time basis the oldest child will be eligible for a 5% discount off their monthly fees. Where both children attend on a full-time basis, the oldest child will be eligible for a 10% discount off their monthly fees.

Funding

We are registered with Salford City Council to deliver 2, 3 and 4-year-old free entitlement funding.

All families are entitled to 3 & 4-year-old funding from the term after their child turns 3 years old at 15 hours per week term time only.  Eligibility to an additional 15 hours per week term time only can be checked by families at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Families wishing to access the 2-year-old funding must check their eligibility with Salford council’s Starting Life Well team.

We work with families to be as flexible as possible when allocating funded hours through a choice of term time only or all year-round sessions.  Families are also able to add hours, sessions or days to their child’s attendance by prior booking and subject to advertised nursery fees.
